lush greenery, cocktails and tartes flambées

The garden invested by the Apollonia association and transformed into an ephemeral bar throughout the summer reopens its pores for the summer season, after having had a makeover. On the program for this little haven of calm and greenery: games, food, drink, music and good humor to enjoy the sun.

In the heart of Robertsau, a few steps from the European institutions, it is a small oasis nestled in lush greenery. The Apollonia association, which promotes European contemporary creation in the field of visual arts, took over the premises in 2016, creating both a gallery and a participatory garden, which we already told you about here.

Last summer, the association wanted to offer as many people as possible the opportunity to come and enjoy this little corner of calm, preserved from the hustle and bustle that surrounded it. She then created Le B’Art Garden. A place to come and savor pints and pies flambées in the sun, all a few steps from a tram stop. And good news: this spring, while the fine weather is settling in the region, the Apollonia has brought out its tables and reconnected the printer.

Deckchairs and parasols

This year the B’Art Garden sees things bigger and wants to make this space the sweetest and most fun place for our summer evenings. To operate this little boost and develop a little more its concept, the association calls on the know-how of Eric Husser. Manager of several establishments in Strasbourg and in the region (the Hoop and founder of the Delirium Café in Strasbourg), he was notably at the origin of Pourtalès Côté Plage a few years ago but also of the hippodrome bar last year. .

Once you have crossed the entrance to the garden, the street, its traffic and its urban noises seem to disappear. Vegetation and islands cultivated by members of the association continue to punctuate the path leading to the bar, but for this new season there are more tables. The deckchairs installed at the four corners of the garden, sometimes nestled between two bushes, invite you to settle down to sip one of the fruit juices or cocktails from the menu while enjoying the rays of the end of the day.

In terms of decoration, there is also a change with large parasols and wooden planks in bright colors that color and energize the space. ” We wanted to add fantasydescribes Eric. We landscaped the garden to make it more fun. » On the menu side, it is possible to come and enjoy a beer, a soda, a glass of glass or a cocktail. You can also eat there thanks to the essential tartes flambées and pretzels but also now knacks, charcuterie boards, nachos or even wraps and salads, all made with fresh products.

Concerts and theme nights

Sitting around a table at the B’Art Garden is a bit like coming and squatting in your friends’ garden, with space (more than 200 people can find space there), greenery and a good mood. The place also offers card games, Finnish skittles or even a petanque court, all to a soundtrack that smells like summer. There will be theme nights throughout the summer, announces Eric, with for example a Spanish evening, an Italian evening, a Greek evening… There will also be concerts “. Here, we relax and enjoy. “ I love being here, chatting, testifies Eric. People are relaxed.»

With the beautiful days the garden of the B’Art Garden fills up. Customers of all ages and backgrounds meet there. You just have to sit down for a few moments to hear the languages from here and there mingle under the Strasbourg sun. To take advantage of it, go from Tuesday to Sunday, until September 30.
